Ulix,

When I move the bottom peg out of the way, the needle drops
down a little, almost to the first hash mark below the 0. 
Izzat where it should point?  Or to the small, round, raised 
black bump after the K in Made in U.K.?  

None of the service manuals dare to touch on the speedo.

BTW Ulix, what kind of bicycle do you comute on?  Wife and
I ride a Santana tandem, and for years I used to commute
on a Reynolds 531 frame a friend and I built back in the
70's.
