Phil,
If you are going to have a thrust alignment done you should wait until
you get the rear bushings replaced as this will probably affect the
setting. A thrust alignment means that the front wheels are parrallel to
and in line with the rear wheels. Worn bushings at the back can cause
the rear axle to squirm around and not be perpendicualr to the car.
Double check the tightness and condition of the u-bolts on the rear axle
as well, they have been known to work loose/stretch allowing the axle to
move in relation to the springs.
All of the work you are doing may sound like a lot of trouble/expensive
but remember the car is 24 years old and some of this stuff has not been
done before or maintained properly. Once you get done with it all,
proper maintenance and small fixes will be all that it needs for quite a
while.
Do not pay for a 4 wheel alignment as the rear wheels are not adjustable
but I think a thrust alignment is called for.
