Hi,

I have just rented a Portable 'boom' and expect to remove and replace the
engine this weekend to change the clutch. I am as green as the car at
this, so expect some questions. Just to show what a novice I am, here's
the first question. Where do you connect to to lift the engine out.
Haynes says 'either use slings... or connect them to the official hooks
which can be put under the rocker cover bolts.' The official hooks would
be what? Any advice on where to connect to? I've got to go out and buy
chain, etc for the connection between the hook and the engine. Advice?

I noted earlier today that someone else was asking for clutch advice. Your
response could be very timely for me. I seem to remember reading in the
'M'- word catalogue that welded pieces on the rod were to compensate for
worn pieces and that replacing the worn pieces is the proper solution.
(That should get a few comments #;^)> )

I'm expecting disaster. Things like broken bolts and things that I'm too
scared to put more pressure on and my biggest fear is either connecting to
those valve cover bolts and pulling them out, or just dropping the engine.
Not having the tool that fits is another expectation.
