My racecar has the exhaust through the rockers. It comes in at the
inner corner of the footwell, straight, over the top of the crossmember
 (in front of the seat), about 45 degree bend to the muffler (lying flat on
the floor) then out the rocker (sill). The hole in the inner sill is
positioned
so that access to the rear spring hanger (1/2 elliptic car) is not impaired.

A false floor goes over the whole lot. I run this sucker so low it is
unbelievable!

This is just dandy for a RHD car, not so practical for a left hooker.
