Thanks, Patrick. You hit the problem exactly. The speedometer won't spin at
all, it's really frozen solid. I have removed it from the car, taken off the
bezel and glass, and found that the needle moves freely, but the drive at
the rear won't budge.

Anything else I can do myself, or is it time to ship it off for repairs?
