Overheating

Ebony and I had fun and games this morning when she blew the
fan belt and overheated (funny, that).  Situation easily 
fixed and all appears well in the world again, though it was
nice to have a midget driver pull over to check I was ok :)
Later, a friend told me that he took his thermostat out of
his bugeye, and then his MkII when he had them as the car
was happier without the thermostat in the Australian heat.
