New soft top /hood

I know this is an old question, and please skip/delete if you're 
tired of it, but:

Time to order a new soft top for my 74 Midget.  Is there any 
consensus on what is best for the money?  I would prefer to have the 
snaps already on.  And any special tools I will need (other than 
another person and a lot of patience and a warm day) to install it?

I guess I'll go with vinyl, if that narrows it down.
