I'm trying to determine what the Australian equivalent of the Datsun
210 is...
Could someone tell me:
What year(s) they are, engine size, etc.
There was no 210 released in oz as far as I know. We got 120y, 180b,
200b and stanza in the 70's and early 80's.All small cars.
Are they good boxes?
The main one folks over here go for (as far as I know) is the 5-speed
from a toyota celica which is popular for many purposes, even behind
big 6 cyls and the odd V8, though I'm told the Supra box is a better
choice for big horsepower. I think the former is alloy and the latter
steel.
Does the conversion involve any permanent de-originalizing mods, e.g
cutting or enlarging trans tunnel?
