The tar covered fiberglass patches work. Those dip in the goo and wrap
around the pipe tend to fall of the next day.
I prefer Tiger (brand) patches but any self stick fiberglass wrap will
do much better then the dip and strip and hope it sticks wraps.
A dab of muffler cement works good too.
