Spark Plugs and Gap

What is everbody's consensus on spark plug type and gap on a modified 1500 
Midget.  It has a 1/4 cam and High Compression pistons, Ported and polished 
head, weber downdraft, but stock distributor and a hotter coil with ballast 
resistor removed. The factory setting is .025 but it seems like there is no 
gap at all.  I currently have them gapped at .032.
