Jackson,
        Let me see if I can help.
Firstly, a couple of tips. (don't shoot me if you already knew this)
HIF = H(side draft) IF (integral float bowl)  6 (6x1/8" = 3/4") (assumed + 1")
        Also  44mm /25.4 = 1.73..." (close enough to 1-3/4")
            38mm/ 25.4 = 1.496... (1-1/2) H?-4 (4x 1/8)
So, the HIF44 is a newer version of the HIF6.
In the US, you will likely only find used HIF6s in salvage yards. The newer
HIF44s didn't make it here on cars. (non-gray market)
You'll only find HIF6s... and here are the cars to look for:
Austin Marina... 72-74 (and its a bit odd.. unusual kit)
Volvo 140 series 71-72
        That's it! I think the NEW HIF44 looks pretty good.
Hope this helps.   Good hunting.
        Peter
(btw, HIFs used to starve on cornering quite easily unless you mod'd the
jet pick-up. Maybe the new metric carbs have fixed this)
