if it has an intake that is almost identical to a 948, 1098, 1275, then
what you have is a crosley marine aplication supercharger for a 750cc
crosley motor. fageol manufactured some crosley speed equiptment on the
west coast . nick braje also was a west coast crosley manufacturer of
crosley speed parts. amazing as it seems, the crosley engine is easily
mated to any sprite twin SU carb. intake with it's #1&2 cylinder and #3&4
cylinders siamesed just like BLMC "A" series motors. the major difrence
with crosley is it has 4 seperate exhaust ports and the cylinders and head
are 1 solid casting using no head gasket. you didn't mention if you had
recieved the intake with it? if so it probably will almost bolt right on !
now the drive hardware and under hood clearances? who knows?

hope this might be of assistance? after all you knew it was wierd just by
it's name right?

chuck.
don't ask how i know this!
it is a secret!
he-he-he!
