Hi list,

I 'discovered' an interesting table of engine weights somewhere on the
SOL.team.net web site last night (or was it this morning).

However, there are a few startling differences in that there is no entry for
either small or big block A-series engines or the 1500 Triumph, any Datsun
engine (conversions to Spridgets) or likewise any Toyota engine (conversions
again).

I have the following weights to offer which I 'extracted' from a magazine
feature and does not make clear whether the engine is fully 'dressed' or not,
but I think includes standard carburation, exhaust header, dynamo/alternator,
etc.

A-Series = 252 lb

K-Series = 216 lb

Peugeot 16 valve = 316 lb

Fiat twin cam = 272 lb

Vaxhall 16 valve = 237 lb

Ford Cosworth YBF = 319 lb

Ford Zetec = 238 lb
