My Side of the Story.....................

We got up early Sunday morning for a Spridget trip with our "LBC-nutty"
friends. Top UP all the time this trip in deference to my ear (after 5 hrs
in ER Sat.).

We met at the JellyBelly factory -- some took the tour. We loaded up on
JellyBellys, Chocolates, Mints and BeanBagToys...... and had coffee in
their little "coffee shop" area. We were glad to see Bob and Annice (they
made the trip to visit and drive with us "on their way to Texas") and Crash
came over from Reno (always good to have him and his sense of humor along).

After JellyBelly -- we hit the road and after a very nice drive to
Calistoga ate a very good lunch and did some more talking. And some
$hopping. :o)

Then we went to Lake County and the "diamond hunting" -- as Rick said we
stopped in Middletown for "gas and whatever" -- yes, Rick, some had to use
the toidy -- but David and I managed to find time to get soft serve ice
cream cones while you were gassing up Puddles. Yummy, too.

On through some great scenery - beautiful wildflowers - and, yes, Rick did
have to pull over and wait for some --- we had a couple of "Sunday Drivers"
in the group -- Dave and I were riding drag and trying to speed them
along, but ............ <sigh>.

As for the diamonds, we found some good ones. Someone tried to pass off a
bit of green glass bottle as an Emerald, but we wouldn't go for it. <G>

As we left the "diamond area" some folks headed home; and a couple of them
got lost from us. Rick & Carolyn went back as far as Lower Lake to see
if they could find them, but couldn't. The "lost ones" finally found us
about 3 hours later... just before we hit the highway home...after their
own "unplanned adventure". *We'll have to have Crash take us on that
route one day!!* We (those of us who didn't get lost) ate a good meal at
a Mexican Restaurant and visited some more and drank lots of iced tea.
Then headed home. The SWAG shirts were a big hit.
So as you can see we did what Spridgeteers like most we .....drove
......ate ......talked ........drove ........ate ..........talked
...........drove ........ate ..........talked ...........etc.
Tired, but content,
Peggy
