YEP!  Goofy brake bleeding on the '77.  Read the part about centering the 
valve.  Open the right front bleeder and press the pedal JUST until the light 
goes out.  IF it doesn't, the valve is pushed all the way to that side, so 
close the right and open the left bleeder and press the pedal until the light 
goes out.

They tell you to bleed two bleeders at a time in an effort to keep the valve 
centered whilst bleeding the brakes.  I read that and thought to myself, 
"Self, that ain't gonna work."  So I bled them as I normally would and then 
centered the valve.

This is assuming that the light isn't on because you left the handbrake 
pulled up.
