I have dealt with Hayes several times, and used to
browse his shop every few months when I lived down
there. He usually has 50 or 60 LBCs on display. His
prices are never bargains, but the stuff sells, so I
guess they are fair. He's a really good guy, and is
usually very straightforward with descriptions over
the phone. Give him a call if you are serious at all.
His ads are always out there. He also has a
tremendous inventory of used parts - that's where the
lump for my 1275 came from. The 1275 blocks are piled
10 feet high in the corner of the shop, the walls are
lined with 100 or so Rostyle & Minilite wheels, the
Moto Lita steering wheels are on wall racks 10 deep,
you get the idea. Neat place, but the car prices are
not bargains. He had a 63 Spridget recently I told
Bob Weidemeyer about that sounded like a $500 car that
he wanted $2k+ for. But I have been there several
times when people are hauling cars away, so based
purely on supply and demand, people do buy the stuff.
