Hi all,

Got to place a lot of faces with the already familiar name contributing to
this cool Spridget list. Dave and Peggy, Bob & Annice, Glen Byrnes, Crash,
and lots more that I'm embarrassed I can't recall the names right now.

Enjoyed the wonderful hospitality of Swift Justice, remet, David Riker and
some others.

Sunday Steve and I drove from Sacramento to Chico for the Car meet at the
Elks. Lots of unusually fine LBC and BBC on display, many cars lovingly
restoered by their owners, others professionally done. Hard to tell the
difference in some cases.

After the meet, returned to Steve's home for a showing of the Italian Job
movie. After that, I don't think I ever want to buy a used Mini! BBQ
followed with more food and soft drinks than we could consume and lots of
friendly talk among the members.

Following the BBQ I showed the Morriservice 5 speed kit and it's features.
Glen Byrnes had gotten his kit on the previous Monday and had it installed
on Wednesday and running. You could tell him even in the dark. His grin
was so wide his teeth lit up the darkness. Turbo car has no first gear
whine now!

Thanks to all who were there and showed interest in the 5 speed kit. It is
much appreciated.

I left the following morning for Portland at 9:15 am and arrived in Salem
OR for a stop at 5:15 pm. Not bad for an ancient Morris Minor to do the
545 mile run. Yes, those are the correct times and mileage. It's amazing
how much a 4 Runner will fade on the uphill mountain grades and how ticked
their owners get at the Blue Minor! They also don't go around corners
well! Had a lot of fun on the drive. Maybe not as much fun as Crash did
on his Feather River run, there's just more of him to enjoy it!

Thanks, Steve and all.

Regards, Paul A
