Jay: I, too, have been often "disappointed" at parts from the usual
suspects. At the moment of inspection, when I open the box,
disappointment is the wrong word. On the other hand, the thought life
without those guys, is too terrifing to contemplate. I am also
messing with a TC, and the pool of used parts, we take for granted for
Spridgets, just isnt there for TCs. Without Moss and Abdingdon Id be
dead. When I havent been burned for a few weeks, I get mellow and
think that we are all of us, in this hobby together and confrontation
may not be the best way. A dialog between "us" and "them" is needed
and this seems a good start. As a minimum, the catalogs need to be
more informative; remember the old Sears good, better , best
categories? And maybe, just maybe, there are some folks who would
welcome the opportunity to choose a quality part, at an increased
price, over schloc. I guess when I get junk, Im pissed and wanna
throw bricks. When I get something that just isnt available anywhere
else, and it gets me back on the road, I wanna hug them and say thank
you. I guess the point of this rambling is we need to hold their
feet to the fire without inflicting terminal wounds on the goose.
