Folks, I was checking out John's timing cover setup and he speaks of the
existing "feeble chain tensioner system".  Well when I did a new front seal
on my 1275 this year there was NO chain tensioner.  Should there have been?
Am I flirting w/ disaster here?  There was definitely some play in the chain
but I didn't feel like it was about to fall off or start jumping teeth.
Gulp, help....

Some time ago we had some talk on the list about the use of timing covers
from later series car that have the timing marks at the top, making service
time a whole lot more pleasent! These can now be seen on the website below.
If you do not wish to look at, or know anything about them do not go there!
