I missed the beginning of this thread (sorry Jay) but here is a suggestion 
for Moss.  How about adding a set of symbols to the listings in the 
catalog.  They would indicate if a part is: 
1. as original as it could possibly be;  
2. a close to orginal look and a good fit;  
3. less than satisfactory but its all we can get and it might work;  
4. not fit for dog meat.

Then the customer would know what they are getting.  I know the 
plug wires on my Midget are trash and they came from Moss.  
(Bought by the PO.)
