Allen,

Nobody can work on a LBC and not get philosophical at times  (unless 
your experience has been completely different than mine!).  Just 
think of all the times things haven't gone quite right....

In our department (at UCSC) we philosophers are into cars.  Our chair 
drives an old Morgan in perfect condition, our dean is now restoring 
his Morgan which was his daily driver for years, I have the sprite, 
and others have old BMWs and Mercedes.  We're often asked if 
Philosophy has some sort of car requirement.

(I normally try to take that signature off on email like this; I 
guess I forgot that time)
