I have to de-cloak for a minute.

This reminds me of a conversation on another list a while back. The list
topic surrounded consumer electronics. One of the British participants was
asked why the UK never became a major manufacturer of C.E. His response was
'they probably would as soon as they figured out how to make a TV leak oil"

I'll probably catch a flame or two for that, but it always struck me funny.
