To change out to 7/16" studs, I pulled off the front disc hubs, BFHed out
the old studs, removed the rotors so I could drill out the old holes to
29/64" on a drill press. Studs were pressed into holes and given a tap till
they held. Place the hub/studs to the wheel add a couple of washers
depending on lugnut type. Wrench those puppies down (cheater bar on the 3/8
ratchet handle in my case) till the head of each stud is snug to the hub and
proper torque can be reached. Rotor replaced, retorqued, hub checked,
greased, reassembled.

On the rear, I drained the diff, pulled the drums, axles and hubs. Tap out
the old studs. The hubs were drilled on the press to 29/64" as in front.
Suck in the studs as you did in the front. I had to grind to outermost edge
of the stud's protruding head so it would clear the brake cylinder. The
NAPA studs I picked from their stud catalogue had a higher head profile than
the original sprite studs. It didn't take much grinding to provide enough
clearance. I drilled out the drum and axle-hat stud holes to an easy
clearance fit with a 15/32 bit. Checked, renewed seals, reassembled, refilled.

Got out the fancy new shiny chrome nuts and washers, torqued them up and
went stylin.
