Bill,

This doesn't surprise me a bit. This is fairly common practice for a lot of 
manufacturers to do this. They don't want 'end-users' calling them directly to 
ask questions, since they really are not set up for 'customer service'. I'm 
sure 
the pistons that VB sells are the same as everyone elses (AE hepolite) since 
those are the most common.
If you need a standard size set for a 1275, I have some with less than 
1500miles 
on them, but they will need a new set of rings.
