Charles, If you have a car with a cast iron pump and a screw in the
snout just put a little oil in there every a often. If you have an
aluminum one the procedure is different........just get behind the
wheel and forget about it!

Good evening folks...  I'm having a tough time finding the procedure
in the
manual (if one is even required) for periodic maintenance and
lubrication of
the water pump.  How do I do it, and how often is recommended?

Should there be modest amounts of some oily chemical added to the
coolant?
