And on that all time favourite of Rob's (the Morris Marina) it says 85lb.
So how do we now that the MGB is reliable at 180lb and not a mis-print for
80lb and which type of MGB axle?

Same figure in a Morris Manual. I'd agree that this sounds a small figure
for something that stops the wheel falling off at a corner. I've never had
one come off myself, though.
