You don't neede the battery tray. In fact, it HAS to come out to fit the
16 valve rice rocket engine and trans. (I have seen it)
The tray is heavy because the whole car is made from 18 gauge (i think)
steel.
Nothing like todays plastic cars and their .024 metal.
