Bill,

There are specialist Spridget breakers who buy up scrap Spridgets and then 
sell the bits.  You can get a 1500 twin HS4 manifold for anything from #25 - 
40 and unlike us won't have to pay 17.5% tax on top of that.  I don't know 
how much carbs go for.

Some Spridget stuff does become sought after and commands a premium 
secondhand (eg: hook type quarter light latches) or isn't available at all 
(eg: 1275 flywheels at one time).

The stuff that tends to get cubed are the Metro's, Marinas & Itals, hence the 
in-line A-series blocks (including in-line A+), HIF44 carbs and stuff has 
varying availability depending on where you live.  For example, one of my 
local yards no longer holds any car that is older than 10 years.
