I have been on and off the list for a couple of years now. Usually I leave
the list when life in general gets too busy.

I have seen complaints from time to time about non LBC messages and my
response is SO WHAT.

If the thread says NO LBC and there are 30 messages that follow it with NO
LBC is this really a hardship to delete the messages?

I have also obvserved that every person (inc Montana Bob) who complain about
the Non LBC topics are the ones who NEVER POST (apart from to whine).

I don't care if people post stupid questions, questions answered many times
before (but admit sometimes it bugs me) or just banter and jokes. I joined
the list to get a lot of e-mail. It seems to me that the people that whine
about the list are just that, WHINERS. Of course they have a right to whine
if they want to - in fact the only posts you ever see from these people are
whines.

I think that some listers whine because they have no other posts to make,
that is no posts about Spridgets and no posts about anything other than
whining.

I don't mind the non-LBC stuff. It does irritate me that some listers seem
to lazy to pick up a workshop manual, DV or even the list archives BUT I
accept that I can be a grouch so while I do shout my mouth off in the privacy
of my own house I do KEEP MY FINGERS OFF THE KEYBOARD (mostly). Perhaps I am
not alone in this view (Hi Ed :-)).

So some folk unsubscribe from time to time - are these listers who regularly
post good advice, tech chat, look at cars, swap parts, look over cars, have a
tech or Spridgetly meet? NO - they are lurkers apart from the time they
whine.

This list remains, as far as I can tell, a collection of some of the world's
authorities on Spridgets from concours judges to lever arm damper experts not
to mention gearbox specialists (names withheld to save embarrassment of these
modest people). There is a hard core of racers, autotesters and concourse
participants who have a collective knowledge that puts the MG BBS to shame.

If people want to leave the list they are welcome to do so but don't expect
to find anywhere else in the world (remembering the world is not perfect)
that even comes close to this list.

Finally, a debt of thanks to Mark, the list owner to whom myself and I guess
a few others are indebted.

Daniel1312 - I guess this is more than two pence worth and YMMV
