I have just received all of the new parts for the seats in my 70 MK III
Midget. I have bottom and back foam, new seat covers, new rubber diaphragms
and a bag of hardware. I was reading, Lindsay Porter Guide to D.I.Y.
Restoration, about the installation and it tells me to glue the bottom
covers to the foam, is this what you all have done? They also talk about
putting a plastic bag over the backs to make pulling the cover over the foam
easier. I do have the tips on the diaphragm installation. The seat foam
has a large recessed area in the middle of the cushion. My existing seats
don't look like they are shaped the same as the new foam, but they are
thirty years old. What should the cushions look like?
