if you are going to have an air compressor, be it fixed in place or
portable. build a small shed on the outside wall of the garage and run a
air line (steel or just a rubber air line) through the wall to the inside.
the sound of oil type compressors is annoying but the new oil free types of
compressors are absolutly deafening! the constant din of a compressor is
very annoying and no doubt after long term exposure a bit tough on your
hearing. the shed will muffle it enough to not disturb the neighbors and
you can talk to a friend or yourself(hmmmm.) and not need to yell to be
heard in the garage.

chuck.
huh? whacha say? hold on lemmie shut off da comprsser! NOW WHAT DID YOU
SAY?
that is a bit how it goes with an in shop compressor.............c. :)
