Too many Eds

Fellow listers not named Ed:

We really should do something about the ridiculous number of Eds on the list. 
 Seems like at least half of the new folks who join are named Ed, not to 
mention the long-time Eds and the troublemaking Eds (well, the troublemaking 
'Ed').  Perhaps it's time for an "Ed Quota."
