I picked up a spridget gas guage that is the latter type with the bimetallic
element instead of the two little coils. I gather it needs a voltage
compensator that cuts the voltage to 10V to work correctly. This is to go
into my wife's Traveller in a separate instrument cluster (neg ground,
original guage inside speedo is DOA).
Will any of the available voltage compensators do the job, or is a specific
one needed for a particular guage?
And are spridget guages looking for the same resistance change as a Morris
tank sending unit?
Thanks for the help.
