I don't believe it was Lexan. Lexan is "unbrakeable". You can bend it, and
if you flex it back and forth enough times it will eventually break. But
there'e no way you could break it by dropping a wheel on it. You must have
had plexiglass in there. Replacement with Lexan is no doubt a good idea.
