If wanting to stay with British & cheep - check out some older Land Rover
Defenders. A fair # of 60s & 70s Defenders show up in Ebay for reasonable
(opinion only) prices. Some are ex-Military and would be a real kick.
Definitely would hold 2 redheads, 4 kids, plus the Sprite!
If British not essential, then suggest older VW Bus or 50s American station
wagon (with blown big block, of course).
