When I went to the single carb on my 1275, I noticed what looked like the
crank-case vent tube going into the old forward carb, so I put it into the
extra "intake" tube on the new carb. I'd guess the carb is drawing a little
air out of the crankcase. I'm really not sure, but the engine sure seems to
run well.
