Hi Spridgeteers, depending on the Mark of your Spridget (mine has the solid
steering shaft) I just remove the pinch bolt at the rack-pinion and withdraw
the shaft into the car cockpit area. This gives unhampered access to the LH
motor mount. The RH motor mount is accessible anyway. Then I just remove the
three 5/16 bolts that hold both mounts to the chassis and lift the engine with
the mounts attached. I've also devised a "quick release" radiator mount. All
this makes pulling the engine from my Mk2 Sprite a pretty easy job.

My fellow Spridgeteers,
A number of you asked about the "trick" (time saver) I mentioned to the
lister that's getting ready to pull his tranny this weekend.
Without going into how it's actually done...out of fear of telling you
incorrectly, one mount is bolted to the engine, the other to the engine bay.
Which is which is where I'm a bit rusty!
Since all my manuals are in storage (I'm in limbo), could someone post the
correct methodology please; copy out of the book.
