All canvas is cloth, but obviously all cloth is not canvas. You should be
able to get a sample of fabric (probably in the desired color) before
committing to an order. If you can't, be careful that you find out just what
you should expect to receive for your money. I wouldn't be at all surprised
if there are materials for "cloth" tops that are far superior to canvas and
look better too. by the way, Canvas comes in a variety of weights and
weaves. I believe it is 100% cotton by definition. For most things, I
prefer a comparable 60% cotton/40% polyester blend in appropriate
weight--lighter weight (than similar 100% cotton), stronger, and crease
resistant.
Canvas and cloth aren't the same thing, but one isn't necessarily better than
the other, either.
