This last weekend was the annual Palo Alto All British Car Show. Great
show!

Saturday was the pre show tour that went from Palo Alto near the Stanford
campus over some perfect LBC roads. Twisting, winding, shaded by redwoods,
and covered in LBCs following each other to Cameron's English Pub in Half
Moon Bay. Extremely spirited driving (including an impromptu comparison of
normal and forced aspiration of English A-series motors that left a bit of
rubber on the pavement, eh John?), A+ scenery, and a great preview of the
Sunday show to come in the cars represented in the in the pub parking lot.

I drove the turbo bugeye on Saturday, and took the wife's Morris to the show
on Sunday. The show had over 500 Brits of every type. (help me out here
guys, some of you other listers have a better memory of what was there)

I saw about 100 Jags, 3 Rolls, 1 Bentley, 3 or 4 Aston Martins, about 20
Sprites(13 bugeyes), about 50 big Healeys, about 12 Minis, about 200 MGs of
all types (A,B,TC ,TD,TF), waaaay too many TRs, Rovers of every type and
vintage, about 20 Morris's (7 Travellers), Loti of every type and vintage,
dozens of Morgans including one 3-wheeler, a perfect Ausint A40 and an
Austin 7"Chummy". The "Obscure Car Society" was there with some real odd
ones including an Amphicar, a Peel 3hp trike car, a BMW Isetta, and a whole
bunch of stuff I didn't recognize.

The swag bag was thin to non-existant, hope for better next year. One can't
get enough of those little sample packets of tire shine stuff and discount
coupons ;>)
