WAS a great article in one of the British car magazines a few years ago about
installing one of those gas-charged rear deck raisers (whatever the h*** they
are properly called) into the bonnet of one of our cars. It worked really
well and raised the bonnet further than the stock expanding "stick" holds it.
I haven't installed one, not yet anyway, but I thought it was a great idea.
