OK so I pulled Busy's steering wheel off to get it straight and managed to
bugger up the threads on the steering column shaft. A 9/16 18 Fine appears to
be too coarse and a check with a 9/16 20 gauge isn't right either. Is this one
of the few Whitworth fittings left on this car, metric maybe of all things. Can
anyone help solve this mystery. I'll need to find a die to clean up the threads
on the column.

On another related subject. Is it possible to convert current stalk mounted
horn activation to horn button activation. Looks to me from the VB Book all I
need is a horn brush. Where would wiring connect. Time to get out the schematic
and see how this thing works. Anyone done this before? Trying to find the horn
on the stalk in an emergency is not exactly a safety feature designed into the
68's

Kent Miller does "Boneyard" still have a steering wheel nut and horn bushing.
I'm interested. Nut is all buggered up beyond belief. I don't think it was my
efforts alone that got it that way. Thanks to all and a Merry Christmas from
Dayton, OH where a White Christmas is in the forecast. In the meantime Bugsy is
stuck in the garage minus a steering wheel. Have a safe and happy holidays.
