Right! Synthetics were designed for use in turbine engines that turn a
heck of a lot more rpm than any race engine ever could and will "stick"
to these parts at such speeds. The fact that a midget engine will never
reach these rpm's and still needs to be flushed of contaminents every
few thousand miles shows no need to spend two or three times the money
on oil that may not benefit your application. I'm sure it won't hurt
your engine to use synthetic oil and change it every 3,000 miles but it
might hurt your wallet.

All turbine aircraft oil is synthetic as are
their hydraulic fluids.

Synthetics have superior film strength,
coating and flow capability in all temperatures. They ARE really the
best of the best, though there is nothing wrong with brand name mineral
oils or partial synthetics either for our auto machinery.
