        Ooops, I didn't quite type what I meant...  I meant how much could
be skimmed off the head, not the block (don't want to pull the motor if I
can avoid it)!   

        I'm getting a Longman head here soon and wanted to get it prepped
appropriately prior to sticking it onto my street toy.  I'm fully prepared
to run premium all the time (93 octane) and perhaps to retard the timing
slightly, but the main thing I wanted to avoid is having to pocket the
pistons...
