Spridgeteers,

$160 sounds very, very cheap.

I have an eight gallon fuel cell made by Aircraft Rubber MFG. (FuelSafe cell
division, 18602 Redondo Cr., Huntington Beach, CA 92648) and fitted inside
the original tank of my Bugeye. Cost including fill valve and custom sender
was $653 plus tax (for a total of $703.61) in May 1998. The price for the
bare fuel cell was $425 (plus tax).

You might be able to strap it on from underneath, but you'll have to arrange
the filling system to work somehow. I bought it for about $160 from Summit
<www.summitracing.com>. That's the least expensive fuel cell you'll be able
to find, trust me.

Later I replaced it with a Fuelsafe cell that fits down into a cutout in the
trunk. It was about $400.
