Hello Dave,

As an example look at the following numbers:

10: 1 + 0 = 1, 10 - 1 = 9
11: 1 + 1 = 2, 11 - 2 = 9
....
19: 1 + 9 = 10, 19 - 10 = 9

21: 2 + 1 = 3, 21 - 3 = 18
22: 2 + 2 = 4, 22 - 4 = 18
23: 2 + 3 = 5, 23 - 5 = 18

30: 3 + 0 = 3, 30 - 3 = 27
39: 3 + 9 = 12, 39 - 12 = 27

90: 9 + 0 = 9, 90 - 9 = 81
95: 9 + 5 = 14, 95 - 14 = 81

So, when you add together both digits of a two digit number, then
subtract the result from the original number you will always get the
set { 9, 18, 27, 36, 45, 54, 63, 72, 81 }

If you check those number on the page you will see that the symbol for
those numbers are all the same. To make it a bit trickier they change
the symbol each time they reload the page.

Now, can one of the list eggheads give a formal proof?
