I guess it depends on the people at the DMV. I chose
not to risk the mountain of paperwork that would
descend upon me and had the tag stamped to match the
NM title when I transferred it to TX. Although someone
seems to have read 69 to be 64 so my car is 5 years
younger than it should be, but I don't see that as a
problem. As they say, "no good deed ever goes
unpunished." So sometimes trying to explain and
correct errors produces more problems than it fixes.
