The boot handle off my '79 seems to be stuck in the unlocked position - I
cannot get the key to turn. Keys work in the door locks. Given that I don't
know the whole history of this car, it's distinctly possible that the lock
doesn't match the keys anyway, but I'd like to look inside to find out for sure.
Has anyone rebuilt the boot handle? It looks "permanently" assembled, as the
square shaft has crimps in it that hold the whole assembly together. I can
grind them off, but then keeping the whole assembly together afterwards would
be a bit of a trick. Any suggestions?
