Yup. The pertronix will make the tach read high. The solution (on the "external sensor" tachometers, where there's a wire in a loop clipped to the back of the tach) is to remove one loop. If the snesor lead plugs into the tach, you have to make internal modifications, I believe. > I have the same problem with the tach in my Lotus 7- it > was working much better before I had the engine rebuilt > and the Pertonix ignition fitted- Any issues with Pertonix > and tach accuracy? > Jac > > /// Send your messages to spridgets@autox.team.net > /// unsubscribe/change address requests to > majordomo@autox.team.net or try /// > http://www.team.net/cgi-bin/majorcool /// > http://www.team.net/mailman/listinfo /// Archives at > http://www.team.net/archive/ /// unsubscribe/change address requests to majordomo@autox.team.net or try /// http://www.team.net/mailman/listinfo /// Archives at http://www.team.net/archive/spridgets |
