Mike just use the same t/stat housing.
You only need the later housing if switching to a cross flow or a Geo 
radiator.
If you want, I;ll give you one from a 948 ;) It's just a bit shorter in 
height from a 1275 (67) down flow. Some low profile stats fit the 
original flat top 948 housing, just kind of check out the local auto 
parts display.
