The crash rail is a bolt thru piece, well it has sliding studs
that get nuts thru the top of the cowl. Similar to the Bugeye dash but 
with hidden bolts
1/2 round wood with shiny screws will work. The metal dash where a 
padded dash was will need 2 holes drilled very near the corners of the 
windshied. I used carriage bolts and you will never see them. (1/4")
The other studs are already there.
